How to Connect Morch to Claude Desktop

Connecting Morch to Claude Desktop is super easy. You just need to add a custom connector from the app and you're done — no technical setup required.

What You Need

  • Claude Desktop installed on your computer. If you don't have it yet, download it from claude.ai/download.
  • The Morch MCP server URL: https://mcp.usemorch.com/sse

Step 1: Open Connectors in Claude Desktop

Open Claude Desktop and go to the Connectors section. From there you can manage all of Claude's external connections, including MCP servers.

Step 2: Add a Custom MCP

Inside Connectors, select the option to add a new custom MCP connector. Since Morch doesn't have an official integration within Claude, you need to add it manually as a custom server.

Fill in the fields with the following information:

  • Name: Morch
  • Server URL: https://mcp.usemorch.com/sse

Step 3: Confirm and You're Done

Save the configuration. Claude Desktop will automatically connect to the Morch server. Open a new conversation and ask Claude: "What Morch tools do you have available?" If Morch shows up, the connection was successful!

Troubleshooting

Morch doesn't show up after connecting — Close Claude Desktop completely and reopen it. Make sure the URL is exactly https://mcp.usemorch.com/sse with no extra spaces.

Connection error — Check that you have an internet connection. If you're on a corporate network, the URL may be blocked by a firewall or VPN. Check with your IT team.

The connection is slow the first time — That's normal. The first connection may take a few seconds while communication with the server is established. Subsequent connections will be faster.
